Private bathroom featuring rectilinear design and top quality
A couple have achieved their dream of creating their own personal luxury bathroom – in an apartment building. They wanted the room to feature classic minimalism and simple elegance. In 2014 the married couple made plans to renovate the entire building, so they employed a planning agency and together they came up with a design for their own apartment on the first and second floor. Creativity practically knew no bounds: the bathroom offered unlimited scope when it came to the design because the room, which was the building's old attic, was empty. There were no water connections either. Only the large windows somewhat restricted the planning flexibility. However, this did not present a problem – on the contrary: the occupants can now enjoy a light-flooded, spacious bathroom with double wash basin and bath tub, separate shower area and toilet.
No-frills bathroom design “Made by Hansgrohe”
“We wanted perfectly coordinated, rectilinear design for the bath tub, wash basin and shower”, explained the owner, who works in the sanitation industry herself. So it was only natural for her to display keen awareness when it came to the design, functionality and quality. For her own home, therefore, only the best was good enough. “We sought advice from distributors and specialist sanitary retailers and discussed the ideas with our planning agency.” Minimalist designer mixers that are pleasant to the touch and are top quality? They opted for the Axor Citterio E bathroom collection. Features such as the thermostat embedded in the bath tub rim plus the star handle control unit and separate joystick handles on the wash basin make these designer mixers a luxurious highlight. Modern showers that have won multiple awards for their ease of use and eco-friendliness and offer all-round showering enjoyment? Here, only Hansgrohe showers were considered suitable.
As part of the building renovation, the clients also developed a rental apartment downstairs by adding an extra bathroom. So nowadays, the tenants also bathe and shower exclusively using Axor and Hansgrohe products. Throughout the building, washing up is done using Hansgrohe kitchen mixers
