Homeliness and luxurious bathroom culture in a historic ambience
The Palais Hansen combines rich tradition and modern interior design in a magnificent building that is a fine example of Viennese historicism: following thorough renovation, the impressive building, which was constructed in 1873 on the famous Ringstrasse boulevard, now accommodates a 5-star superior hotel managed by the international Kempinski Group. The style is defined by a sense of homely charm, which extends from the lobby through to the spacious spa area. In the marble bathrooms, Axor Citterio mixers display their characteristic discreet luxury.
The 152 individually furnished rooms and suites feature marble, elegant fabrics and valuable wood, classic design and contemporary interior décor. Working with the project developers from UBM Bohémia, the renowned hotel designers from the Parisian Studio Desseins succeeded in creating a striking mix of luxury and Viennese charm, which is also typical of the legendary Viennese coffee houses. This includes historic details such as columns, stucco and ambulatories, in conjunction with the traditional salon style. Guests can even savour this atmosphere in the restaurants and in the library.
Homeliness and timeless design, which are characteristic features of this haven, are also key themes of the architect and designer Antonio Citterio. Axor Citterio therefore combines quality with the finest in bathroom culture. At the Palais Hansen Kempinski, this fits in perfectly with the stylish interior design concept.
