The Villa Magnolia is a fusion of modernity and inspiration from the Far East
The Villa Magnolia in the South of France combines the best of different worlds: the luxury residence nestles up to the mountainside above the bay of Cannes and merges with the nature of the Mediterranean. At the same time the clean lines of the architecture are truly captivating, evoking masters of modern art and inspiration from the Far East. The consistently modern design runs through the entire 1,000 square metre building, where the owners have combined modern design classics to create a unique ensemble. The contemporary luxury of the bathrooms is provided by Axor.
All nine bathrooms on the three floors of the mansion bear the hallmark of Hansgrohe SE's designer brand. Inspired by the diversity of collections, the planners selected products from Axor collections by Philippe Starck, Jean-Marie Massaud, Antonio Citterio, the Bouroullec brothers and Patricia Urquiola. Thus, for example, the organically-shaped Axor Massaud bath tub forms the centrepiece in the master bathroom, while the children's bathroom is characterised by Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola's imaginative bathroom vision. The planners made use of the variety of options offered by Axor to customise the bathroom as a living space.
A combination of high-quality materials and the very latest technology was employed in the construction of the property, which was completed in 2011. In the bathrooms this strategy is evident in the Axor ShowerCollection, for example, while high-tech audio and home cinema are used in the lounges. This exclusive location is where modernity and the natural world meet: floor-to-ceiling windows and large terraces offer unobstructed views of the medieval town of Mougins and the Mediterranean Sea, of palm trees and cypresses. High-quality natural stone and wood add a touch of splendour to the interior furnishings, while skillful planning has enabled the ambience of the park-like estate and villa to be captured in particularly beautiful lighting in the evenings.
